In the year 1939, Joe Treager and his Tony Treager opened a business which was called Treager Brothers, which was the combination of a blacksmith shop, a trailer building service and cabinet production operation.
In 1959 Joe Treagers son took over the business and started 1978 the production of wood-fired furnaces. The company invented a lot of different central heating products, stoves and furnaces. Treagar Industries continued later on its business with pallet fired barbecue grills,  gas fueled grills, Outdoor products and new product developments.
Today Treagar Industries is a very successful manufacturer and also one of the leading companies in producing grills in the United States.
